House Building?

There is a big possibility taht you will be able to build houses in TES 6 I mean just look at what Fallout 4 did, and they run on the same engine 😃

However they approach it, I hope it's not a core mechanic of the game. I like FO4, but I found it tiring having to build so many things for all the settlements so they could asking me for help.

I'm 80% sure it will return. Nothing has been confirmed or denied about the future title though.

If it does return, I kinda hope it's a little less about making a fortress to ward of enemies, and more about just relaxing and making a nice little house. Maybe another location in the game can let you build a fortress as an alternative. Who knows? I just think that after tirelessly adventuring across the continent, the player should be able to sit down and decorate their house to relax and not worry about giants or endless bandits.

I agree with War for the most part. While I haven't played Fallout 4, there's a good reason for that. From what I've seen of it, it looks like the roleplay elements have been dumbed down to an absurd extent (dialogue wheel and such). As for base-building, I'm open to the idea, as long as it's not mandatory. With the sandbox craze over the past years, I've had more than my fill of base-building. That's not what I want in an Elder Scrolls game.

Didn't the Hearthfire DLC include some rudimentary options for house-building in Skyrim? I've never played any of the Fallout games (especially the Bethesda ones look like a less-interesting version of a TES game, in my opinion), but since there's base-building there, and in Hearthfire (to some extent), similar mechanics will probably be included in TES VI right off the bat.

Sean-Bean I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to replace the Hearthfire system with one similar to Fallout 4. However, I hope that they don't.

I hope the actual building of the house is like Hearthfire, but more options. For example letting us combine all nine of the options (Hopefully more). Interior decorating and some of the exterior decorating should be like fallout 4. They should allow us to move around mounted animal heads, farm fences, dressers, tables, chairs and etc. Now it would be cool to build a castle and hire guards, bards, servants and maybe even trainers. These features should be put on the back burner. Until they get the core features of the game down.
